Meet the Team

Terese Hunwick

Terese founded Thayer-Carver in 2009. Terese began her career at Arthur Andersen where she served a broad range of clients and industries as a Manager in the audit division. After Andersen, she spent 10 years with LafargeHolcim in executive roles across several disciplines including finance, strategy, and supply chain. After LafargeHolcim, Terese spent two years leading Lhoist North America’s supply chain team, including supply chain, freight and port studies throughout North America and the Caribbean. Terese advises cement and other construction and bulk materials and transportation businesses regarding imports, logistics, and supply chain strategy in the Americas. Terese is a General Partner in the BELLE Michigan Fund, an early stage venture fund investing in technology companies.

Terese completed executive education at MIT and the University of St. Gallen and is a registered CPA.

Karen Fordham

Karen is a Senior Consultant with Thayer-Carver, and CEO and President of Topside Strategies, LLC, a healthcare consulting company based in Commerce, Michigan, providing knowledge to companies within the healthcare industry including hospital organizations, physician groups, and healthcare information technology companies. Prior to her starting her own business, Karen served as the Chief Executive Officer and President for Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Huron Valley Sinai Hospital in Commerce Township from 2015-2017. Karen is an accomplished healthcare executive and leader of change with more than 20 years of diverse experience specializing in hospital operations, service line development, strategic planning, physician recruitment, process improvement and financial management for major healthcare systems across Michigan.

Hannah Webber

Hannah is a Principal at Thayer-Carver. She began her career as an investment consultant for institutional investors at Cambridge Associates where she advised endowments and foundations on asset allocation and investment strategies. She then went on to Accenture where she specialized in M&A strategy. In 2012, Hannah joined an IoT start up as VP of Operations where she led company operations and product development. Hannah has over a decade of experience in finance, operations, and strategy in natural resources, healthcare, retail, non-profit, and technology organizations.

Hannah received her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and her BS from Trinity College in Connecticut.
